I wanted to kind of scoff at the idea of a modern alpine cuisine. I'm an idiot, this was my best restaurant experience of 2025, and a must try or die for any foodie in ATL. We were meeting old friends at the bar before dinner and we accidentally walked into the main dining room. They didn't tell us where to go, they personally escorted us through a back door. Overall the service is world class and Michelin worthy. The staff is very friendly, adorable and warm. There is a bar in the restaurant, but there is another bar for light snacks and drinks in a separate space. The separate bar is more bright and chic, while the main restaurant is dark and cozy. This is incredible double date spot as you will want to try everyone's dish. We had the ravioli, haystack smoked duck, deer tartare and the "quit jerkin my gherkin" cocktail. We paired each item we ordered with the wine suggested. I was blown away with how affordable the wine pairings were. 8 bucks for a half glass of wine with each item. The wine pairing for the deer tartare was the best wine I have ever had. I got my neighborhood wine shop to order me some (22). If you see Zweigelt "Kieselstein," Claus Preisinger on the menu, order it. It is the most unique wine I have ever had. My favorite dish was the wild mushroom ravioli. The deer tartare was refreshing and light. The haystack smoked duck tasted like southern bbq. The gift from the chef was so unique, tucked inside an egg shell with truffles and whatever. It was indescribably good. My cocktail "Quit jerkin my gherkin" was so refreshing and tasty. You'll just giggle yourself silly reading the cocktail names. Note the cocktails are different in the bar than the main dining room, but you bet a place with this kind of service doesn't mind making an exception. Go on the website before and read about the restaurant and remember what the owner looks like. He came by our table and I made sure to tell him how much I liked his wine pairings. He gave us the whole story about the wine and why that wine was so meaningful to him. He was the sommelier at Bacchanalia, so the guy is an encyclopedia on wine. Overall a Michelin level experience, with food that is incredibly detailed and inventive. Get the half glass wine pairings! A great spot for a double date or a romantic celebration. I can't stop talking about this place to my friends, will definitely be back.

My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day and had the most incredible time. The food was absolutely delicious and so were the cocktails. The interior was comfortable and very well done. Hands down the best dining experience we’ve had in Atlanta! Bravo! Great food and relaxing ambiance! For starters, get the salad! It was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. The pretzel bread and butter was delightful. I can’t say enough about the duck, except order it!! Best cosmo I have had in a while, so I got two! It’s the little extras they give you that show their culinary expertise.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by dramatic lighting, curated decor, and a striking centerpiece: a sculptural mountain goat standing confidently over the dining room. From the intimate corners to the lively bar scene, the space is equal parts seductive and stylish—perfect for anniversaries, date nights, or a chic evening with friends. Cocktail Program: Bold and Balanced Avize’s cocktail offerings show the same craftsmanship I demand in my profession. Each drink is nuanced, layered, and beautifully presented: Sultry and Brooding (Gin) – Complex, aromatic, and deeply satisfying Mocktail Menu – Thoughtfully curated options for nondrinkers, equally elegant and refreshing The Menu: Inventive and Seasonal (Average 95–130 per person for a complete dining experience) Inspired Starters Salt-Baked Beet Carpaccio – Beets, yogurt, dill, and Brazil nuts create a refreshingly unexpected starter. Understated in appearance but bursting with texture and balance. A must. Venison Tartare – Delicately seasoned and exquisitely prepared. Even as someone not drawn to venison, I found this dish exceptional. Signature Entrees Botanical Hay Smoked Duck – Bold, fragrant, and precisely cooked. A standout in flavor and creativity. Seasonal Catch – Light yet rich, though the frequently changing menu means surprises are likely—as the menu is a reflection of the seasons. The Avize Appeal Avize West Midtown distinguishes itself with atmosphere and edge. Every element—from the moody lighting to the well-curated plates—suggests a chef-driven vision backed by thoughtful execution. It’s not just a meal, but a stylish, memorable evening. Professional Tip: Ask for a corner booth if you're celebrating something special. The intimacy adds to the experience, and the service is responsive without being overbearing. Final Rating: (5/5) In a city full of new openings and fleeting trends, Avize brings a sense of permanence through its bold style, strong hospitality, and culinary artistry. It's a hidden jewel I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends, colleagues, or discerning diners looking for something just a little bit different. Besides if I said it’s a 5, it’s a 5!

We spent an evening dining and everything was absolutely amazing! We had the Duck and Halibut but the dish that stole the show was the Venison Tartar! It was a PERFECT paring with our 2016 Kanzler PN! Taurean was wonderful as well as the rest of the staff! We will definitely return!

What an incredible experience. The service was amazing. Thank you Liam - you were outstanding with your recommendations and your attention to every detail. The way you coursed out the evening was marvelous. Loved the Amuse Bouche as a surprise to start off the evening. The appetizers were astonishing - had the Dandelion Salad, the Flammkuchen, and the Trout Cru. The food was out of this world. The hot complimentary bread service with amazing butter hit the spot. Entrees we had were the American Wagyu (amazing), the Poulet Grenobloise, and the Mezzaluna with a side of Cauliflower. The cocktails and dessert were superb as recommended by Taurean (Director of Beverage Hospitality). We had the Cosmos with dinner and had the Espresso Piedmont and Young Grass Hopper with the dessert of the Mont Blanc (outstanding). Taurean even took time to give us a quick tour of the property and the future cocktail bar area. Can’t forget to mention the surprise of the Mignardise to finish off the experience. We would highly recommend booking your reservation asap. This place is definitely a Michelin Star contender. Can’t wait to return for another breathtaking experience and hope to meet Chef Karl.
